Tyre Industry Association Certified ATS Advanced Instructor Training

This month, whilst visiting group company Bartec TPMS at their Detroit facility, Head of Marketing at Bartec Auto ID Samantha Hammond attended the "Tire Industry Association" (TIA) Certified ATS Advanced Instructor Training Tour. The four-day training certifies attendees as Advanced ATS Instructors, allowing them to certify ATS Instructors and Technicians in the field. Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) is designed for professional passengers and light truck tire technicians and covers 18 extensive tire training modules.

Bartec TPMS and the Tire Industry Association remain committed to offering more training to Automotive Tire Service Technicians. Better-trained technicians mean better safety, better service, and more satisfied consumers. Samantha stated "I learned an incredible amount and came away with an enormous feeling of achievement and pride, especially as a woman in the industry."

The Tire Industry Association (TIA), established in the USA during 1921, is international non-profit association representing all segments of the tire industry, including companies that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service or use new or retreaded tires, and also those suppliers or individuals who furnish equipment, material or services to the industry. TIA is the leading advocate as well as instructor in technical training of tire service technicians in the USA.

The mission of TIA is to promote tire safety through training and education, to act as the principal advocate in government affairs and to enhance the image and professionalism of the industry so that member businesses may be more successful. TIA has members from all 50 USA states and around the globe.
