Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a business’s approach that contributes to sustainable development by delivering social, economic and environmental benefits for all of their stakeholders. Corporate Social Responsibility is aimed at encouraging companies to be more aware of the impact that they have on the rest of society including their stakeholders and the environment.

At Bartec we are committed to reducing the impact that we have on the environment and continue to improve our environmental performance as part of our strategy. We encourage our stakeholders to do the same.

Bartec are an inclusive organisation and we are committed to deliver equality and diversity in all of our employment practises. The health and wellbeing of our employees is paramount and our employee’s views are valued and respected. We are committed to supporting different charities. We are currently supporting two local charities.

Local Mencap Barnsley

The first one is Local Mencap Barnsley, which is a local charity in Barnsley that support people with learning disabilities. They are open six days a week running a range of different activities every day.

Barnsley Churches Drop-In Project

We are also supporting the Barnsley Churches Drop-In Project, which is a charity that run Drop-in Sessions three times a week to provide the homeless, addicted and impoverished in Barnsley borough, a warm secure room where they can receive a hot meal and hot and cold drinks, a sandwich for later and second-hand clothing and sleeping bags. At Bartec we are actively involved in charitable giving and we support our employees to get involved too.
